Replace Missing Teeth
Crowns
Private treatment fees from £414.75
A crown is a tooth shaped restoration that is placed over the tooth. It’s used to strengthen the and protect your tooth structure. Crowns are made from porcelain to help them look like your natural teeth.
Crowns may be placed for several reasons. Usually the tooth has been broken or damaged a great deal. As a result, a filling can’t replace enough of the tooth or make the tooth strong enough. Crowns can be used to improve appearance as well. They may be placed to cover misshapen or badly discoloured teeth.
Crowns are usually completed within two appointments. On the first appointment, we prepare the tooth and take impressions, which are then sent to our ceramist we then place a temporary crown. You will then come back for a further appointment when we will remove the temporary crown and we will cement the final crown in place.
